I have put a deposit down on a 2000 zx12 as of last weekend and am just waiting for it to be gone through, detailed and given to me. The bike has ohlins rear shock, pazzo levers, akra exhaust with powercommander. !7,000 miles on it and i plan to put much more on it. Are there any issues with this year i should be aware of besides the connector recall? Also this is NOT my first bike, Ive ridden dirtbikes for a long time, had my license for years, but it is my first sport bike. I plan on respecting it and getting used to it. Any tips or tricks on the bike would be awesome. I saw a post on here earlier today where a guy crashed 5 hours afer picking it up :banghead: O what would you pay for the bike?

Like my friend ( mauser ) said I have oly had my 12 for 3 weeks now
and i am finding her very nice to handle they can be heavy going into the bends if you go in late.
so take your time go in slower than you need to and come out faster then you ever thought pos :evil:
I'm not a top end speed nut more like the G force from the first 3 gears :thumbup:
I love it at 8K rpm:runaway: and find it hard to keep the front end down when opening it up in 2nd.
It does pull even in 6th but it takes off in 2nd:evil:
i'm going through the gears ti find the best gear for speed to take the bends just right. and over taking car's etc :lol:
as in the first sports bike :headscratch: If I was you I would run it in as if it was new that way it would give you time in miles to get to know the bike before you know the power say keep it blow 6K for the first day If you can :rotflmao:
I fell in love with my 12 on the day after I got her home ( 322miles home ride) it was only a short ride just to a shop to pick some new chain lub up on the way back I came upto a set of lights Red:rant: as they changed I had forgoten I was on the 12 and not my old ZZR1100 and hit the rev limit in the first 2 gears and as I was flying down the road changing into 3rd I was in love:zxblue:
and there is no going back :crazyloco:
