I hope it is ok with everyone here if I answer a question about an oil filter when everyone else is talking about oil....
The filter you are talking about Ninja is outstanding IMO. It is a Scott and has finns to double as an oil cooler. Another feature is a fairly large magnet which will detect anything wrong with the motor in advance as well as keep your oil fairly clean of debris. It is called (by Scott) a lifetime filter and can be cleaned with any type of carb or brake cleaner and water and then let dry and put back on. The outer part of the filter looks to be billet. It is fairly expensive however our bikes are worth it. 8)
