07 250ninja atm. its fine riding by myself but when i ride with other motorcycles the 250 really shows its power.. well lack there of lol. i think its time to upgrade. going to sell my 250 and use some $ i got saved and buy another bike. bigger/better.
ive been looking around online and found a 1996 Kawasaki ZX11 with 13k miles for 1900$. its from a local harley dealership. guess they got it in on a trade. so i know its going to be in great condition mechanically.
my questions are is that a good deal? 1900$ for a 96 with 13k miles ( from a dealership not individual buyer ) or is that too old of a bike and no matter if has 2k miles or 200k miles its still a 19 yr old bike. here is a link to the bike.. not sure if allowed to post links to other websites or not. sry if not allowed. link looks weird but it is Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson http://8907.motorcyclesforless.net/p/20920070/2/11248754/196
and my second question is. is that too much bike for me? to much bike as in weight wise and power wise. been on a ninja 250 a 350r 3-wheeler and a ninja 500. the 350r was in my teenage years (im 32 now) the 500 was when i was about 24 had it for about a year before wrecked it and the 250 is what ive been on for the past 16 months. going from 250cc up to 1100cc (1052 actually) is a BIG jump. think its too much? i just dont want to be riding it and be used to the 250's power and shift points and braking etc etc.
im 5'10 about 190lbs. the 250 feels like nothing to me and if i recall correctly the the 500 wasnt to hard to get back balanced if started leaning/tipping ( while stopped ). now the ninja zx11 weighs in at 125lbs more than the 500 and 210lbs more than the 250. if i got the zx11 would i have a hard time with it being so heavy? dont want to get it and day 1 sitting a stop sign or wtvr and starts leaning and to heavy for me to hold it up and bam shes on the ground.
ninja 250 - 304 dry weight
ninja 500 - 389 dry weight
ninja zx11 - 514 dry weight
