1/8 Mile Times...

Just like the title says, I'd like to see some 1/8 mile times if you don't mind sharing (I know times are top secret to some).

The only tracks I have access to in my area are 1/8 and it seems most of you guys run on 1/4. Also, could you tell me if your bikes are modified, because mine is bone stock for now and I'd like to get some idea of a comparison.

I ran my first three passes on the 12R the other night. First passes EVER on a bike. I know I have quite a bit to learn about it. I know I will be worlds faster once I get the launch down a little better.

Thanks,
Max

I ran a 7.93 at 112mph.

Best of three passes. I'm thinkin I can do way better(mph is high), but I didn't think it was too bad for my first time on the track with the bike. I know my launch is far from ideal, I'm rollin it way to far out.

6.8s bone stock 1st pass, about the same mph.

Last pass was 6.2s @ 123 lowered, geared, piped, pc3, race filter, lightened bike and some seat time, all hand clutch footshifting.

OK, so I sucked..... But not too horribly bad :headscratch: Though it makes me happy to know the bike has the potential, I just need more seat time to get this thing dialed in, or I should say get me dialed in. I'm sure the fact that I'm 6'5'' 220lbs dosent help either(making excuses).

Thanks,

EDIT: What kind of 60 foot times should I be looking for, as of now mine are all 2sec+.

5.51 @ 129
That is faster than anyone that runs at the track I go to. The "Outlaw Bike" class is all dropped/streched/air-shifted Busa's and 14's. Most all of them are spraying and one of the Busa's is turbo. One or two of them MIGHT have dipped into the fives, but not that I saw. You need to come over here an clean up shop.

oops, 118 mph, not 112...I'll have to rummage through the old slips. I think 112 was either Warp12 or a CBR 1000. I weigh 120 give or take (or take).

Good times everyone. real good times...

shiphteey: Since I have you by about 95lbs, if we were riders of equal skill on identical bikes how much slower can I expect to run? (roughly) I know they say every 100lb's is a 1/10th with cars, but how is it with bikes?

NHRA253: I'd also be interested in where you lost all the weight from.

Thanks,

Can't say with 100% certainty, I'm sure some have figured out a rough equation. Bone stock 1st pass 1/4 mile was 10.2 @ 141 with a 1.8 60ft. Key was getting my 60s down to 1.6s...lowered and geared will do it with seat time...I figured it never would and then it did. My problem is I'm not consistent...the A1s are edgy and I usually try a little more and blow the 330 ft with it coming up and having to back off the gas...maybe with the air shifter I'll bang 2nd more instinctively...did it more instinctively with the GP shift 9R so who knows. My 12's been lightened up too but single rotor/caliper with carbon front wheel and race upper had me losing some weight in the wrong spot (front). I'd like to go high 1.5s stock wheelbase/motor...its doable. I have another inch I could lower it if push came to shove.

I think a lot of people would be interested in where you lost all that weight. some pics and info would be great.

Trac front end
rc comp wheels
full chromely arm
no shock
no rad or water (loss almost 25lb right there)
No head light,Gauges,turn singals
no gas tank (small fuel cell under seat)
Whoa, that a pretty serious diet!

Unfortunatly the last four items on your list are out of the question for me as I put on quite a few street miles, 2500mi last month.

The no water thing, are you running a filled block, like in car engines?
