Not sure if the earlier 12's have a different inner panel, but the B series is easy...remove the "V" piece...the lower black plastic section below the rad and then you can undo either side inner panel and gain access to the indicators.

 

Yep , same. Just do as above .
Taking off the lower cowlings will not give you any access advantage.
Theres 2 posi-bolts and 3 push - in clips.
Dont be afraid to pull the lower bit, Its a pretty easy job. Good luck

So true! I like removing the body panels from my 12r much better than my 14r. It just sucks on the 14r.
