Just picked up my new 12r today. On the way home, I noticed that the mileage went up quicker than I thought. Maybe we were just cruising along faster. At any rate, the guy said he went up one on the rear sprocket and down one on the front.
It would appear the speedo is about 10mph too fast. How does a gear change affect the overall mileage of the bike? Would that make it appear to have more miles than it does?
Also, what did he achieve by going up 1 in the rear and down 1 in the front? Lower top speed with more torque?
Thanks a bunch guys, will post updated pics when I clean this shed/garage /barn find up. Bike is perfect but has been sitting about 3 years and is FILTHY.
