and looking at Hel brake pipes to change them over in the winter:thumbup:

Going to hope master is ok :eek:hno:

.

.

Is that the radial ones, with the brackets we saw at 'The UK 12 Meet'.

Thanx Dave.

,
yes its the radial ones but no bracket as I have Radial brakes anyway :king:

So I am hoping its just a straight change over but I'll give myself some time just in case

.

.

Yea, I should have looked at your avatar better, I can see there radial now. :banghead:

I thought the radial braked 12's stopped really well :puzzled:

Or are you swapping the calipers, 'because you can'.

Thanx Dave.

.
Yes they are good but still soft at the lever

and after the meet I could move the lever on that slow silver 12 :rotflmao: at all so :headscratch:

I want came to mind :rotflmao:
Just want that extra bit of movement for that "OH Hell " time

.

.

No, still got the Red A1, and the Red A2.

What am I doing. :loco: .:rotflmao:

Just need a Blue, Silver and the Slower (for Mauser:thefinger:) Black and Gold.

Then I'll be skint, and won't have the money to ride any of them. :rotflmao:

Thanx Dave.

.
:rotflmao::clap:
after a full set are you

Post a link Bri to the ones you brought....dying to check them out and find you brought the wrong ones....they fit a glider or boat trailer :nana:

Probably soft cuz you got softie girlie hands which don't do any work....:rotflmao:
oi you old fart At least I go to work and not sitting all day lwith your 80's pop music on cleaning your 12

just in case the sun come out :rotflmao:

anyway I thought you would want me to get better brakes:squint:

gave my ZX12 her 44k birthday - checked the valve shims, new valve cover seals, new spark plugs, replaced chain and sprockets, lubed swingarm bearings and shock linkages, steering bearings, throttle body sync, changed brake fluid, coolant, oil/filter,
:happybirthday: to SteveW's 12 :king::thumbup:

Make sure you wrap up that stock mudguard and put it somewhere safe. Good stock bodywork is getting hard to find.........
got mine next day stock item from my mate in a dealer Clay cross Kawasaki

Just was a week or so before I could see him

this was after I ordered one from the stats and it came the wrong colour blue

a Dark blue
a crapy blue

Not my Blue

New one is ace

Fitted Quill end can :)
zumina.............very nice work sir to your bike. i have recently fitted a brembo radial m/c which is a significant improvement.

Freehand..........interested to know more about the quill silencer. only last week i spoke to james at quill to fix to oe headers. i am probably going to de-core the cat in the mid section...did you keep yours in when you installed the quill??
My Quil is great got it off Mauser ( cast off's lol ) sound is ace
as for the CAT just dig it our with a screw driver and pliers then start it up to blow out the crap the drop in to the pipe ( make sure you put a cloth over it as bits fly out LOL and it is nice and loud :king::thumbup:

Well my NISSIN brakes arrived today! Fitted them up with new HEL brake lines.
But I didn't get a chance to bleed them and test them out yet!
The calipers and master cylinder came off a ZX6 that had done only 1800 miles, and they look brand new.
I made a temporary little bracket to hold the master cylinder reservoir, I'm just waiting for bracket off a Ninja 1000 (Z1000SX) to arrive which should get it to sit nicely.

Only thing that would have made today better is if my Bear velocity stacks had arrived!
looks very nice
them still 300 disks

Yeah the good thing about the 300mm discs on the later 04-06 ZX12's is you don't need spacers when you use ZX14 calipers.
I've been offered a spare set of wheels that have the 320mm discs, I'll just have to get some spacers made up to run them.
so your are saying that you are still going to have to change to the 320 disc ?

I am just asking as I have the R1 calipers to fit on mine but need the 320 disc and 5 or 4 mm spacer

but if the ZX6 or ZX14 caliper fit the 300 disc it may be cheaper just to get a set of them and sell the R 1's later

Took mine on my first ever track day today. (beginner session)
Heaps of fun, very far from the quickest through the twistier bits, but definitely surprised a lot of people when I opened it up on the straights!

No mirrors, speedo covered up and tail light taped over.

 I still not sure about track days I don't think I'm good enough and sacred I would drop it

went out for one more shake-down/test with the nissins so their feel is fresh in my mind after I switch to the Brembos
looks very nice
I'll be doing that to mine with tit bolts over a year or so
they cost loads LOL
starting at the front with Brakes Caliper bolts, Pinch first and work my way over time through the bike
they do look nice

not sure about doing engine bolts though

Changed the oil & filter, flushed out and changed the coolant and putting new HEL brake lines on tomorrow. Removed the top fairing to make it easier to get the master cylinder, brake lines and calipers off in one piece to strip them down on the bench.

Probably gone a bit OTT removing stuff but better having a tinker in the garage than watching crap on TV.

Cheers

Dale.
 yep OTT LOL

Not today but pretty recent on me B1 (this week):
1. New pads front back + control of the calipers (OK) Still the rear brake is somewhat "digital" and will replace the hose to a Core braided PTFE one. Skipped the replace the pistons (to stainless) and seals for now.
2. New Rubber (D208 orig. dim.) almost broken in, feels good and balanced but considering a 190/55 rear next time
3. Fender extender front (Carbon fiber by Infinite), looks the part, fit well and OK length and shape.
4. Fibreglass hugger, secondhand and by the looks inside it seems it is from a 12R stranded in a cornfield late summer...
5. recalibrated the Speedohealer to -3,5% ( I like the speedo a tad, show a slight tad too much)
6. Adjusted the dip and main beams to spot on after a change back from hopeless China crap HID conversion bulbs (it came with that crap).

What's left:
1. Replace the rear fender to a "non cropped" one. Some might think it's coorl. To me it is ******* and I do not fancy dirt sprayed all over the rear and especially on the (occasionally) top box handle and lock..

2. Replace the adjustable levers to non-flip ones, they have not faulted but still scare me if I snag em with my fingertips and flip em up in an emergency (brake)

3. Replace the tail light to smoked LED. (First test em both see the new ones do light properly in all occasions.

4. Replace two scratched signal light housings front and rear (The former had it toppling on the sidestand)

5. Omit the infamous connector from the alternator to rectifier unit by crimp and solder sleeving.

6. Install the custom machined hinge for the pillion seat.

7. Hug it.

Then it is close to mint condition i.m.h.o..

Then ride like a BAT OUTTA HELL when occasion permits...

I'm starting to feel like a fart worshiping this thing...
number 7  I even talk to her :king:
as for worship well that may be a bit to far but they are the best bike in the world so why not :king:
