As you may have read in my "why can't I find a new ZX 12" post.I searched high and low and came up empty.I finally gave up trying to locate one and placed an order. The dealer here in Fl called me back today and informed me that there are none available at the dealers and Kawasaki is sold out for the year.WTF, I thought they are slow sellers and there are leftovers still available.Evidently, they say the black color was hot and they're all gone.I was sick with the news my order was cancelled. :x Got on the phone and located one out of state for $9,995 OTD plus tax when I get home.Wooo Hoo! I'm going on a road trip in the AM to pick up my new bike. :D

There are some still around, although not many. Some dealers are trading bikes to get them.I just drove to Kentucky from Fl to get mine this past weekend. He got it from another dealer that owed him a bike.My local guy said there are no more in Florida dealerships and he can't get them from Kaw either. Our season down here is year round,so maybe thats why they went so quick. No dealer I talked to over the last 3 weeks ordered more than one for the entire year, and some ordered none.On another note,My buddy works at a Suzuki dealer and they are out of Busa's.When they called the factory to get more, they told them that they are all sold out for the year.

Stopped by the dealership today and they do have a ZX12 on the floor !!

Hey 238 (Jere?), we met years ago at the cruise night at Miami Subs at Congress and Hypoluxo !! You were driving that crazy big block powered Indy car/ Go cart thing  and I had my sleeper Vega wagon with a big block.....we talked for a while...I think we had both just got our 98 ZX9's.
It's getting real crowded down here, not much fun riding in traffic.... I mostly just go to Moroso to have fun..... Roy

I saw a 2005 in a showroom today, 2 2004s in two showrooms today. Dealers aren't even ordering them because they can't sell the 2004 they have on the floor. I am buying one but they are slow sellers.
$9,995 + tax isn't OTD, OTD includes all costs.

The price was OTD as far as I'm concerned, since they do not collect sales tax when buying out of state.I paid that when I got home and bought my tag.Point is,they had no ad on's to the purchase price. Some states don't even have sales tax,so take that into cosideration when people say what they paid.Heck, even if you buy a used bike from a private owner you have to pay sales tax when you title it.

Yeah, I got it, different policies from state to state. Here, we pay bike cost+sales tax+license(registration) so that's OTD to us. And of course we got a high sales tax, a high registration fee, so maybe we should just talk price of the bike before all the BS the gov't adds on

So, an '05 OTD here means it is going for cheaper than I thought I could get one :D
